how to stop jComboEditText showing softkeyboard

I just want to click on the jComboEditText and it drops down a list
and I select from that list.
Right now I click on the jComboEditText, text is selected and the
softkeyboard is showing.

I have already called jComboEditText.HideSoftInput() and this does not
help
