laz4android improperly installed? lazarus / 43-Android ---------------------------------------------------------------------- panoss · 2022-03-10 18:56 I 'm trying to use Lazarus for creating Android Apps. I installed Lazarus LAMW using lamw_manager. Then I installed laz4android. But when I start the laz4android I have no option for creating an Android (LAMW) app. It' s like a 'plain' Lazarus. I guess it cannot 'see' the LAMW. Should I change any settings? Maybe I don't realy need laz4android? I open Lazarus LAMW and I see this (look at the attached image): ---------------------------------------------------------------------- jmpessoa · 2022-03-12 07:23 QuoteI installed Lazarus LAMW using lamw_manager. Good! Now you have all you need!! QuoteMaybe I don't realy need laz4android? Yes. Please go here about Laz$Android + LAMW setup: https://github.com/jmpessoa/lazandroidmodulewizard/blob/master/readme. md ---------------------------------------------------------------------- panoss · 2022-03-12 11:19 @jmpessoa thank you! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- meteoricshipyards · 2023-10-28 16:24 I too installed Laz4Android, and had the same problem, and was happy to find this answer.  However, I went to the LAMW readme file and step 3 says:  Configure Paths:     Lazarus IDE menu "Tools" -> "[LAMW] Android Module Wizard" -> "Paths Settings ..." However, the Laz4android Tools doesn't have a LAMW option (nor a Paths Settings option).  (and the instructions don't actually say what path to set to what directory, assuming there are multiple paths available to set). Now you need just install LAMW and the  "Infrastructure"   tools.... Ref:   https://github.com/jmpessoa/lazandroidmodulewizard     in   "Readme.md" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- meteoricshipyards · 2023-11-01 02:38 Thank you.  I used LAMW_Manager, and step 2 (install the infrastructure) said it was only for people who didn't use it. But what I found was that I needed to start Lazarus with LAMW4ForWindows instead of Laz4Android (which makes me wonder if I still need the original Lazarus on my system). New question - where are the Android components documents?  Some I can figure out from the name, but some leave me acknowledging that I don't _really_ understand computers anymore. Heavy sigh. Tom A. Yes,  "LAMW_Manager"   build and install all for you!  (You don't need Laz4Android  anymore!) Quotewhere are the Android components documents.... unfortunately all we have is the code (ctl+click) and "demo" applications....
