Potential bug found when loading "bitmap" in "TImage". lazarus / 39-Graphics ---------------------------------------------------------------------- poed6xDMzRp7 · 2016-06-28 17:34 I am using "Lazarus Version #: 1.2.6 | Date: 2015-03-02 | FPC Version: 2.6.4 | SVN Revision: 46540 | x86_64-linux-gtk2". I do not know if this "bug" is still present in newer versions, and I cannot download and check. I cannot download the newest version because I have only 50MB of 3G internet available daily, and that is insufficient. Then please, kindly check that for me if you can. The bitmap format in question is a "32 bit BGRA bitmap". The problem (apparently) is that it is loaded fine when the width of the input bitmap is "8 byte aligned", and results in incorrectly decoded image when it is not: 516x347, $204x$15B: http://i.imgur.com/RgzYTmQ.png 504x347, $1F8x$15B: http://i.imgur.com/8OXCkQH.png Code: Code: [Select]procedure TForm1.FormShow(Sender: TObject); begin   Image1.Picture.LoadFromFile(ParamStr(1)); end; Here are the used bitmap files, if you want: https://www.sendspace.com/file/56gnyb Thank you for your attention! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- lainz · 2016-06-28 21:30 Hi, Is working well here on Windows with Lazarus 1.6 FPC 3.0. Both bitmaps are displayed correctly. Wich download you need? maybe we can split the download in parts and you can download a part one by one. Or download the FPC compiler and lazarus sources and compile it... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- molly · 2016-06-29 03:33 Quote from: BlueKnight on June 28, 2016, 07:34:04 pmI cannot download the newest version because I have only 50MB of 3G internet available daily, and that is insufficient. AFAIK sourceforge supports resumable downloads. Ergo a capable download manager (such as wget, curl etc) should be able to manage that for you, even though that would mean you would have to spend 3 days on that. As alternative you could use the ftp server as that really should support resumable downloads. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- poed6xDMzRp7 · 2016-06-30 17:11 Then this problem is not present in new versions. Thank you, people! Quote from: molly on June 29, 2016, 05:33:20 amAFAIK sourceforge supports resumable downloads. Ergo a capable download manager (such as wget, curl etc)... I will do that. If so, install fpc 3.0 Download sources for Lazarus Build Lazarus from source (all you need is "make bigide" on commandline). Bart ---------------------------------------------------------------------- poed6xDMzRp7 · 2016-07-11 03:34 I have compiled "lazarus 1.6" from source, with "FPC 3.0.0" and the problem persists. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- lainz · 2016-07-12 17:09 Quote from: BlueKnight on July 11, 2016, 05:34:57 amI have compiled "lazarus 1.6" from source, with "FPC 3.0.0" and the problem persists.
