Simple Vertical Bar lazarus / 39-Graphics ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Pi · 2015-04-15 01:14 Is there a simple way to add a vertical coloured bar?  eg. if something has a maximum value of 30,000 and it's current value is 22,500 (75% of 30,000), I want the coloured bar to be shown 75% of the way to the top of it's max position. I was thinking of using ProgressBar (but that keeps doing an animation that I don't want). TChart might do what I need if I can set it up right (I'm not sure what to set things to for it, I also wondered whether there is a simpler method than using TChart). Another thing I thought of was doing it using DrawRect (and doing the calcs in code) but isn't there a more standard/simpler way of doing it? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- typo · 2015-04-15 01:54 Perhaps you could use TShape. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Pi · 2015-04-15 02:32 Quote from: typo on April 15, 2015, 03:54:12 amPerhaps you could use TShape. Thanks. I think I'll do that. I'll use TShape (or 2 for each - so it looks similar to a vertical ProgressBar without animation - ie. the 2nd Tshape for the backcolor eg. grey). It seems to do what I want, though I think more will now need to be done in code. eg. with ProgressBar I could just set the Max value, current value (position) and it would automatically handle drawing it to the correct position, including when I resized the control. But I think it should be doable, thanks.
