Sizegrip in lower right hand corner of TForm...I want it gone! lazarus / 39-Graphics ---------------------------------------------------------------------- olavlind · 2011-11-23 13:43 Hi This is my first posting here. I have been creating computer software in delphi since it first came out, and in borland turbo pascal many years before that. Now I am starting a software business and want to use Lazarus. I am using Mac OS X at the moment and the question below relates to this. My problem is this: All forms in Lazarus has the little Sizegrip icon in the lower right hand corner on all resizable forms. I don't want it there. I want the ability to control this icons visibility via a setting/property on the form. The reason is that it draws over any other conrtrols located in the lower right corner of the form. I want the windows as clean as possible. Is there an easy solution to this? -Olav ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Avishai · 2011-11-23 15:00 This is NOT a good answer and it may not work anyway.  I have no way to test for Mac.  But you can try dropping a TPanel on the Form and set TPanel.Align:= alClient.  Under Window, this covers the normal TForm and maybe will cover the grip for you.  The TPanel would become Parent to all control.  Not good but maybe work until you find a good answer. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ludob · 2011-11-23 15:49 TForm.BorderStyle:=bsDialog makes the form fixed size and removes the Sizegrip. You can still maximize and minimize but not resize. Or do you want to keep your form resizeable but without the visual Sizegrip? QuoteBut you can try dropping a TPanel on the Form and set TPanel.Align:= alClient.  Unfortunately doesn't work (OSX 10.5.7). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Avishai · 2011-11-23 15:53 Mr. Ludob, even if it did work, it is not a answer to this condition.  I only try to give a solution until he get a GOOD answer.
