Spiraling Curvy Lines: Animated lazarus / 39-Graphics ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Boleeman · 2024-05-11 10:48 Some Spiraling Curvy Lines that are animated on a TPaintbox. Nice to relax and watch. Single coloured or with cycled colours, and speed control and single colour select. One fault I noticed is that the tick marks on the checkboxes don't always show correctly. The Paintbox paint event seems to be chewing up memory. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Boleeman · 2024-05-11 10:58 I also thought of trying to making GLOWING EDGES edges on the lines to add a further effect to the animation. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- KodeZwerg · 2024-05-11 12:19 Very nice done, I like it a lot! Thumbs up! How about to remake the "cycle color" in teamwork with "animation" to let the colors cycle (like a warping gradient)? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TRon · 2024-05-11 12:39 That is an interesting result: Code: [Select]Warning: (11001) Only one source file supported, changing source file to compile from "Spiraling" into "Curvey" Warning: (11001) Only one source file supported, changing source file to compile from "Curvey" into "Lines" Warning: (11001) Only one source file supported, changing source file to compile from "Lines" into "project1.lpr" ... and unable to run the executable from the IDE spaces, spaces, spaces ....  Oh, and the timer does not seem to have an event attached. Now I need to resize the form in order to 'see' it animate ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Josh · 2024-05-11 22:01 Some Mods Added, fixed a few issues, name of compiled app changed, stop possible recuring paint entry, used a tshape, resizes ok, timer now used for anim purposes, added number of segments entry etc. colorscycle down columns. Speedtrackbar also adjust the anim speed bgrabitmap used fot tmp drawing ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Boleeman · 2024-05-11 22:18 Just Brilliant, Josh. Was wanting to know how to do that sort of color animating along the line. Thanks for fixing up the faults as well. I ended up removing the Timer from my initial version (forgot to delete it before). With Josh''s version, when increasing the number of segments the colours don't seem to update in the animation. With my Version 2 without a timer, I added a check to see is the animation was running. Seems to work better now. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Josh · 2024-05-13 07:32 update cycle colors in/out, stagger colors, etc, some fixes ---------------------------------------------------------------------- AlexTP · 2024-05-13 07:38 Posted the last version to https://github.com/Alexey-T/Boleeman_Curves ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Josh · 2024-05-13 07:56 @AlexTP did not know that was happening I just done a quick update replaced zip in previous post. the only change was to adjust the animate routine to work with a tcanvas, rather than a specific control, that way if you want to use another graphic control ( i used a tshape), you can just modify accodingly. Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]window.onload = function(){var x1 = document.getElementById("main_content_section"); if (x1) { var x = document.getElementsByClassName("geshi");for (var i = 0; i form_createline120AnimatedCurvyLines(your_graphic_control.Canvas);  in your graphic control onpaintif sender is your_graphic_control then AnimatedCurvyLines(your_graphic_control.Canvas); in timer eventif sender is TTimer then if ((chkEnableAnimation.Checked) and (PaintingFinished)) then your_graphic_control.Paint; ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Dzandaa · 2024-05-13 17:20 Hi, Fascinating, I like it. Respect! I personal do like the setting on screenshot, its looking like a wormhole that transform to a twister to spill out a donut that morphs to bottomside of a jellyfish Your color fx doing a good plusplus to the rest! Now imagine this, the middle switches soft the color palette and from middle to end of line an outfading gradient. Kudos! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Josh · 2024-05-13 21:37 @ KodeZwerg Quick 'hack' version for you. untick cycle colors, all oters controls should work along with it nb you can get interesting effects, by starting with say 13 segemts, let it work for a bit, then when it gets to cover as much of screen as it can quuickly enter 34 in segments, you should see some intesting side effectcs ---------------------------------------------------------------------- KodeZwerg · 2024-05-14 18:46 Quote from: Josh on May 13, 2024, 11:37:45 pm@ KodeZwerg Quick 'hack' version for you. untick cycle colors, all oters controls should work along with it nb you can get interesting effects, by starting with say 13 segemts, let it work for a bit, then when it gets to cover as much of screen as it can quuickly enter 34 in segments, you should see some intesting side effectcs Awww more screen magic! Thanks that you hacked your code! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Josh · 2024-05-14 23:07 Hi Final version,  I hope. optimized the drawing code, slightly faster. increased the max segments to 50. some other little tweaks, removed the generate totcanvas, it slowed down the transfer to other controls for some reason, so its now buffering to scrollbox. to change the canvas color, right click the canvas
