Preventing alphablend to affect children lazarus / 39-Graphics ---------------------------------------------------------------------- phoenix27 · 2023-08-13 17:35 I' m making an app in which there are media thumbnails. When clicking on a thumbnail i want this to happen: A form overlay appears on top of the entire app and then if the thumb refers to a video then a video starts playing, if to an image then a bigger image appears. The overlay must cover the entire app and use alphablend to make it see-through. The code for the overlay is: Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]window.onload = function(){var x1 = document.getElementById("main_content_section"); if (x1) { var x = document.getElementsByClassName("geshi");for (var i = 0; i procedure TForm1.ShowOverlay(Form: TForm);var  Back: TForm;  //img32: TImage32;begin  OverlayPnl := TForm.Create(nil);    OverlayPnl.Position := poDesigned;    OverlayPnl.BorderStyle := bsNone;    OverlayPnl.AlphaBlend := true;    OverlayPnl.AlphaBlendValue := 120;    OverlayPnl.Color := clBlack;    OverlayPnl.SetBounds(Form.Left, Form.Top, Form.Width, Form.Height);   OverlayPnl.OnClick := pnlOverlayOnClick;    OverlayPnl.Show; end; The problem is that the Tpanel (child of the OverlayPnl) and the vlc player attached to it become semitransparent too. How can i prevent this behavior and make the children opaque? I couldn't find anything. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- KodeZwerg · 2023-08-13 18:06 In the BGRA controls package is a VirtualScreen component, I havent tried it yet but I think this would be able to do your requirements. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- paweld · 2023-08-14 08:48 create a form, in the size that results from the video / image size - then you do not need to set AlphaBlend to True.
