I can offer a personal bounty for anyone who can help me code this. PNG editor. lazarus / 39-Graphics ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ozz_Nixon · 2022-10-14 00:26 Ok, subject is vague - but, I ramble. :-) I need to make a PIXEL editor for a PNG Sprite FONT File. Source File: 9litch.com/fonts/CP437_8x8.png I would like to load that file - I will code all the HTTP stuff, and then Copy TRect(0,0,8,8) and display in a grid like Windows' Character Map for NULL, all the way to 255*8,0,8,8 - and display that in #255 spot on the Character map - I believe this part of the code is easy - if you have a clue how to use the GRAPHICS unit. (I DO NOT). Then Double Click on Character Map letter - like "A" - show it 8 blocks wide, by 8 blocks tall. Click any block it will either show WHITE $00FFFFFF, or BLACK $00000000. And it toggle. When done editing - click SAVE - and I will code all the HTTP stuff to push it back up to my server. Can anyone help me - at least with the first part? I can probably take your code, and hack out the 2nd part. I just have NO CLUE where to start, BitBlotBlapBloom or whatever. Thank you kindly (for any helpful replies). I want to do this to learn, as the next iteration is to introduce 24bit color per "PIXEL", and to support 9x16, then 10x19, and 12x23 - and maybe even 16x16. Right now this is a "Web" Telnet program that I have been hacking and improving since 1/1/17. Now, I need to make more fonts :-) Ozz ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ozz_Nixon · 2022-10-14 00:31 * Also, after reading more posts - Graphics32 is acceptable if it makes the PNG part easier. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Fred vS · 2022-10-14 00:42 This is the best solution: https://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/BGRABitmap It can edit PNG, of course. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- paweld · 2022-10-14 10:38 Attached is an example, it should be quite easy to expand it with other image sizes. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ozz_Nixon · 2022-10-14 22:48 Quote from: paweld on October 14, 2022, 12:38:07 pmAttached is an example, it should be quite easy to expand it with other image sizes. I see 7 others downloaded this - after skimming through the code -  WOW! I was not expecting that much effort/completion. If you have PayPal or Venmo - I would gladly send you a couple bucks - as this makes it look so simple now! Your project file references Interfaces - and I get a compile error - is that really needed? I run a very lean Lazarus environment - mainly for testing components to take screenshots and do reviews about them. So I try to not add anything - snapshot, do review, rollback. :-) Best Regards! Ozz
