Redirecting to port 8080 lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- egsuh · 2021-01-04 03:38 Is there any problem in doing this? I run a FCGI webmodule. What it does is just to redirect to localhost:8080, with paths.  HTTPServer application will respond to port 8080. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- lucamar · 2021-01-04 03:52 There should be no problem* but, cannot your main server do the redirection w/out having to launch/call a (F)CGI? * That is, other than normal security things like, say, an attacker trying to find (and access) a server at the alternate port. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- egsuh · 2021-01-04 04:26 Quotecannot your main server do the redirection w/out having to launch/call a (F)CGI? Probably IIS may be able to do that. Up to now, my server is used only by limited uses, and running CGI. No problem yet, but I have to think about other ways. I'm not a proper software scientist or engineer. Just to show that my idea runs successfully^^
