HTTP for a Dummy lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JimKueneman · 2020-12-22 19:35 I have searched and have found a few examples that where not very helpful.  I am trying to write a very basic server in my application.   The application really interacts with a browser through websockets so what I am wanting to do is create a super simple HTTP server so a browser can just browse to something like "localhost:12020" and my app will handle the HTTP and return the webpage "index.html" file to the browser that will then interact with my app through web sockets and javascript in the webpage code. That said I think all my app needs to do is reply to the GET / HTTP/1.1 calls and feed the browser the webpage, though it may need request some of the dependent files for the web page (I am not sure since I have never worked at this level with with web technology before). Does someone have a simple example of what to return?  I have the listener and the threads to handle requests already and I receive the GET header from the browser but I am stuck on how to return the webpage and what my options are to do that. Thanks, Jim ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JimKueneman · 2020-12-22 21:21 Finally got the right keywords for a search... An excellent resource.  I am serving a webpage now! https://wiki.freepascal.org/Light_Web_Server
