client side reporting in a web application?

I am preparing to write an application that will have PostrgeSQL
database in backend, SQLDBRestBridge middleware and clinet-side TMS
Web Core application.
Application also needs to produce hierarchical banded report with
charts (printable pdf report).
Please advice what would be best option for reports in web
application?
(TMS Web Core does not have a reporting component).
Should I create separate application with e.g. lazreport and somehow
trigger reports creation from the web application and retrieve pdf
report somehow into the web application,
or should I somehow embed some javascript reporting tools into the TMS
Web Core application?
What would be the best approach?

Maybe you should check fpReport because it can create reports on
headless server (if you're talking about linux server). AFAIK
lazreport/fastreport cannot do that (reports without gui).
