Starting with REST in Lazarus

There is a software product (callcenter) that provides REST SDK
interface. It allows an application to send commands to callcenter and
to receive monitoring events from it. I have never dealt with this
stuff...
Can you please advice, which Lazarus components can be used for
creating such application in Lazarus? What to start from?
Well, of course I have searched the forum and got a lot of links to
investigate...
At this moment task seems not being very difficult: application should
send POST and GET requests, process responses and events. What is
necessary in Lazarus for this minimum?
