posting not allowed lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- guest48704 · 2019-02-01 17:54 I have built a nntp server and can connect to it ok.  however, when I try to send headers and the message, mu client always gets 'posting not allowed' followed by a period on the next line.  Does anyone know why the server is not accepting the input and causing this error message? Thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- salvadordf · 2019-02-01 18:44 Not all NTTP servers are configured to allow posting to unidentified users. You need to change your server configuration. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- guest48704 · 2019-02-02 00:35 I have tried every possible configuration I can see to do, but still nothing.  My client does not send a username/password.  I had a problem sending to another outside nntp server once and that was the cause of 'posting not allowed' message from it.  I can't figure how to setup receiving a username/password on the nntp server. I wonder if anyone has an nntp server example.
