XMailer: SMTP Error: SMTP::Login ???-Other undenfined Status lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- kuerbis42 · 2019-01-21 11:59 Hi folks, I wrote a little programm (with GUI) using XMailer - and on my main PC, the program works fine. when I tried to run the same program on other PCs, I always get SMTP Error SMTP::Login ???-Other undenfined Status When I tried to send mail without "SSL" and/or "TLS", I got the error: "need fully-qualified hostname" I've used the same credentials, the same server, etc. I've checked missing DLLs: libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll Is there any other DLL missing? BTW: Xmailer doesn't raise the error: "DLL missing" if libeay32.dll or ssleay32.dll are NOT present!! Hope for help! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Renat.Su · 2019-01-21 12:16 Try to move this dll to app folder. https://yadi.sk/d/udLKNTIA7MjxMw Most likely on those OS is not the version of OpenSSL, which is needed for synapse ---------------------------------------------------------------------- kuerbis42 · 2019-01-21 12:39 Thx for reply. But please have a look to this: -> Picture: virustotal.com eGambit: PE.Heur.InvalidSig I'm not sure that I will use that DLLs ---------------------------------------------------------------------- kuerbis42 · 2019-01-21 12:43 Additional info: I tried the demo from XMAILER which is a really small program that only sends a mail with no other thinks. It gives the same error. All PC are 64bit, the working one is W10, the not working one is W7 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Renat.Su · 2019-01-21 13:18 It is not a virus This is an erroneous response of the heuristic anti-virus module. I use them in my programs when working with networks that use synapse! I have already voiced the most likely reason - You have the wrong library. In Windows 10, it is not necessary to throw these libraries into the program folder, as it often picks up the OpenSSL library itself. In Windows 7, they are required. You can find the correctly compiled libraries of the same name (libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll or 64 if the software compiled for X86-84 target) - this are in the network. You just have to find the right ones. I've been looking for the ones that fit best and don't add unnecessary dependencies. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- kuerbis42 · 2019-01-21 15:43 Hi Renat.Su, because I have a look at the DLLs you send, I saw that they were version 1.0.2.4 This I've found at https://indy.fulgan.com/SSL/Archive/ excatly https://indy.fulgan.com/SSL/Archive/openssl-1.0.2d-i386-win32.zip or https://indy.fulgan.com/SSL/Archive/openssl-1.0.2d-x64_86-win64.zip All of this DLLs have no result at virustotal.com - so maybe you check your DLL's by your self. In this times it's high risky to install something - I won't blame you. But now the good news: with openssl-1.0.2d-i386-win32.zip it works fine! (with the latest version not (1.0.2.17, File 1.0.2.q))! So thank you for your hint! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Renat.Su · 2019-01-21 16:33 Quote from: kuerbis42 on January 21, 2019, 04:43:49 pmHi Renat.Su, because I have a look at the DLLs you send, I saw that they were version 1.0.2.4 This I've found at https://indy.fulgan.com/SSL/Archive/ excatly https://indy.fulgan.com/SSL/Archive/openssl-1.0.2d-i386-win32.zip or https://indy.fulgan.com/SSL/Archive/openssl-1.0.2d-x64_86-win64.zip All of this DLLs have no result at virustotal.com - so maybe you check your DLL's by your self.
