If I plug it into the browser it works fine if I send it with synapse
instead of up to the first space and then ignores the rest. How do I
make the encoding of the string so that everything works?

You should use EncodeURL() in the unit synacode.
http://synapse.ararat.cz/doc/help/synacode.html#EncodeURL

It should replace the spaces to %20 and all other critical characters
to their equivalent.
