Indy 10.6.2.0 IdFTP times out? lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MoellerCLaus · 2017-01-07 07:59 I am moving my application from Delphi to Lazarus and have always loved to use Indy. I want to call IDFTP1.Put but it times out with an EdReadTimeOut message. I have an IdAntiFreeze placed on mainpage. The same code (as I see it) works in Delphi? It connects well in Lazarus and I can changedir on the server but not upload. Any hints? Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]window.onload = function(){var x1 = document.getElementById("main_content_section"); if (x1) { var x = document.getElementsByClassName("geshi");for (var i = 0; i   with IdFTP1 do    try      ZQuery1.Open;      UserName := ZQuery1.FieldByName('FTPUserId').AsString;      Port     := ZQuery1.FieldByName('FTPPort').AsInteger;      Password := ZQuery1.FieldByName('FTPPassword').AsString;      Host     := ZQuery1.FieldByName('FTPHost').AsString;      If ZQuery1.FieldByName('ProxyHost').AsString <> '' Then        Begin        ProxySettings.Host      := ZQuery1.FieldByName('ProxyHost').AsString;          ProxySettings.Password  := ZQuery1.FieldByName('ProxyPassword').AsString;          ProxySettings.Port      := ZQuery1.FieldByName('ProxyHost').AsInteger;          ProxySettings.UserName  := ZQuery1.FieldByName('ProxyUsername').AsString;          ProxySettings.ProxyType := TIdFtpProxyType(ZQuery1.FieldByName('ProxyHost').AsInteger);        End;      Connect;      IdFTP1.Put('C:\holbaek\option.pas','option.pas'); // here it times out      IdFTP1.Quit;      //ChangeDir(ZQuery1.FieldByName('FTPBibloPaaNet').AsString);    Except    end; ---------------------------------------------------------------------- balazsszekely · 2017-01-07 09:35 Hi MoellerCLaus, You must specify the transfer type, in your case it should be ftBinary something like this:   Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]window.onload = function(){var x1 = document.getElementById("main_content_section"); if (x1) { var x = document.getElementsByClassName("geshi");for (var i = 0; i  //... TransferType := ftBinary; try   Connect;   if Connected then   begin     Put('C:\holbaek\option.pas','option.pas');      Quit;   end; except   on E: Exception do     ShowMessage('Cannot transfer file. Error message:  ' + E.Message); end; PS: You may need to add IdFTPCommon to the uses clauses. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MoellerCLaus · 2017-01-08 07:53 Hi GetMem Thanks for your interest and help with my problem. After hours of search I found out that TransferType or NatKeepAlive or Indy was not the problem! I am running Lazarus on a Dell-computer with Windows 10 and with McAfee as virus-protection. Uninstalling McAfee and going over to Microsoft essentials did the trick. Essentials asked for permission to let Lazarus-program get access. I confirmed now it works. Maybe others having a similar issue on Windows should keep this in mind.
