UDP, lNet and ipv6 lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JohnvdWaeter · 2016-06-30 12:20 Hi All, I have succesfully used the lNet TUDPComponent in a freepascal written linux webservice to exchange data with an iOS app. But now Apple is testing newly submitted iOS apps and updates to those apps on a ipv6-only network. My server needs to speak ipv6 now. I have setup another lNet UDP component, on a different port. The server also serves webpages and has a dedicated name that is connected in DNS to an ipv6-ipnnr. The server responds well to http-requests done via this dedicated ipv6 name. But how do I tell this lNetUDPComponent to listen and respond to ipv6 packets? I don't see any setting, except in the Socket, where there is a property SocketNet that should be (?) set to laf_inet6. But it seems to be read-only. Any thoughts? tia! John ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Remy Lebeau · 2016-07-19 19:08 In the latest Inet library (https://lnet.wordpress.com), the SocketNet property is read/write, not read-only.  So you should be able to set SocketNet to LAF_INET6, and then call Listen() with its Intf parameter set to an IPv6 address to listen on.
