Windows Networking Support Component Library lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ArminLinder · 2016-06-28 17:16 Hi all, has anyone ever heard of a set of FPC/Lazarus network components (free or commercial) supporting Windows Networking? I'd like components allowing me to do common windows things like log on and establish a remote session with a remote Windows machine, mount shares, initiate a remote shutdown and such. I can - as a workaround - always make use of Windows shell commands like net.exe or shutdown.exe, but I'd prefer an API/object based solution. I know that there is some open code around from the SAMBA project, but I found nothing for FPC yet. Thanks ... BTW, is Synapse still alive?  It still works (I'm using it in a few projects right now) but doesn't looks very active. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ArminLinder · 2016-06-29 15:14 Thanks for your reply, I came across Synapse, and it offers a wide set of Internet protocols, but unfortunately no Microsoft specifics. Take for instance a look at WMI. A simple WMI query wrapper is for instance available on these forums here. For things like shutdown, log-off etc, you can use windows API calls. All the jedi header units are present so you should be able to accompany your wishes. MSDN should be able to help you out there. As perhaps an alternative, you mentioned commandline programs. You can invoke those from within Free pascal code. see wiki here.
