Open a txt file stored on a web server using fpc (console application) lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MacGoetz · 2016-06-14 23:29 Hi there, I wrote myself a console application using fpc (DOS / Linux). Now I would like to open a txt file stored on a web server (e.g. http://www.myserver.com/blabla.txt) - but sadly without success. Reason for that is that I can't use units like bbutils, simpleinternet, internetaccess, etc. (Compliler can't find them using a console application!) Is there a (simple) way to sort that problem? Thanks in Advance.. MacGoetz ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Phil · 2016-06-14 23:46 program testget; uses   SysUtils,   fphttpclient; var   s : string; begin   s := TFPCustomHTTPClient.SimpleGet('http://www.myserver.com/blabla.txt');   WriteLn(s); end. Works with https protocol too as long as you have the SSL libraries installed.
