split tinymce ToolBar editor and html editor lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Stygian · 2016-03-24 10:08 Hello Everyone. I have a silly question. Do I able to split the editor toolbar and the html editor part? Some images for the better understanding. This will be the part1 placed into a TToolbar: http://kepfeltoltes.hu/160324/part1_www.kepfeltoltes.hu_.png This will be the part 2: http://kepfeltoltes.hu/160324/part2_www.kepfeltoltes.hu_.png Thanks, Sty ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JuhaManninen · 2016-03-24 10:24 Quote from: Stygian on March 24, 2016, 11:08:18 amDo I able to split the editor toolbar and the html editor part? Html editor? Do you mean the Pascal source editor? It works with HTML, too. Oops, the question was about tinymce. I don't even know what it is. My answer is about Lazarus IDE. No you cannot split toolbars to be floating. There is a plan to add tolbars to more windows like Messages etc. with commands that make sense in that context. However you can configure the main IDE window to have only the Coolbar by hiding component palette. It is then a "floating toolbar" in a way. Recommended. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- taazz · 2016-03-24 10:49 There is no "floating" concept in html. You could potentially fake it by having two editors one in a floating window that shows only the toolbar and one in your main form that show only the editor but that would mean that you need to have the same html in both of them copy the changes from the visible editor to the invisible including selection and copy all the commands from the visible toolbar to the invisible one. There is no other way that I'm aware, two documents mean two different DOM tries and as far as I know there is no way to access the components of one document through an other. I'm guessing that you already found it your self too but in case you did not, tinymce is a javascript html editor that can be embedded in sites to allow the end users to edit documents https://github.com/tinymce/tinymce. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Stygian · 2016-03-24 12:43 Thank you both for the suggestions. I just think thru what i really want, and it would be enough for me if i can resize the text editor part to A4 size. Am i able to do that? I just figurate out i can edit the html code  Thanks, Sty
