Lazarus 1.6 and LNet lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JZS · 2016-02-20 17:54 Is there anyone succeeded on installing LNet under The newly released Lazarus 1.6? I have got an error in unit fphttpclient at uses sslsockets; with the message: Cannot find sslsockets used by fphttpclient. Make sure all ppu files of a package are in its output directory. ppu in wrong directory=… Is there anything changed? This did not happen in RC2. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- marcov · 2016-02-20 18:23 Did you check the "tick" that erases old configs during installation? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JZS · 2016-02-21 06:40 Quote from: marcov on February 20, 2016, 07:23:59 pmDid you check the "tick" that erases old configs during installation? Yeap. I did. And here is the complete message: fphttpclient.pp(285,6) Fatal: Cannot find sslsockets used by fphttpclient. Make sure all ppu files of a package are in its output directory. ppu in wrong directory=C:\lazarus\fpc\3.0.0\units\i386-win32\fcl- net\sslsockets.ppu.. PS: I am using Lazarus 1.6 on Win 8 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JZS · 2016-02-21 07:32 And BTW this has happened on two different installation (two pc's both Win 8 ) I end up with the the same error message. Seems that there is an issue with the package WebLaz, apparently LNet uses some (SSL units) from WebLaz and hence it invokes that error while installing. So now the question is, anyone is able to install WebLaz successfully on Lazarus 1.6? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Jurassic Pork · 2016-02-21 07:46 hello, no problem with Lazarus 1.6RC1 32 bits win7  and lnet 0.6.5 : compile and install lnetvisual package ( this install lnetbase package) Friendly, J.P ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JZS · 2016-02-21 07:58 Hi J.P There was no problem in RC1 nor RC2, it only appeared in the recent release of 1.6!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TraumTaenzerDieter · 2016-02-21 08:14 I had the same problem, but after DELETING the complete directory and copying the latest trunk version from here svn.freepascal.org/svn/fpcprojects/lnet/trunk there was no more problem. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- balazsszekely · 2016-02-21 08:20 @JZS Works fine with trunk. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JZS · 2016-02-21 08:36 Still the same error, when I tried the LNet trunk 2661 with the SR 1.6!!! I do not know why but I see the problem coming from the SSL units of the WebLaz. Any one tried to install WebLaz and/or LNet on the SR 1.6? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JZS · 2016-02-21 08:43 Quote from: JZS on February 21, 2016, 09:36:33 amStill the same error, when I tried the LNet trunk 2661 with the SR 1.6!!! Forgot to Uninstall/delete package links of the LNet 6.5 before installing the trunk. I confirm the trunk 2661 works OK as well as WebLaz. Thank you all... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- dailton · 2016-07-22 14:52 Hi, I'm still having the same problem using Lazarus 1.6 Win32, Win8, trunk 2702. Can anybody help? Thanks in advance. Dailton ---------------------------------------------------------------------- pixelink · 2016-08-18 15:21 Having the same problem. Someone needs to add FTP functionality into LAZ as a default control or functions and do away with Indy, Inet and synapse I read about way too many issues installing or linking with LAZ "Just saying" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- wp · 2016-08-18 17:01 I just tried it with Laz 1.6, LNet 2702, Win 10 - no problem. @technipixel: From your question in the other thread  (http://forum.la zarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,33720.msg219062/topicseen.html#ne w) I suspect that you did not install the package correctly. In case of LNet you have two packages, lnetbase.lpk and lnetvisual.lpi. You definitely must "Compile" (see my post in the other thread) the lnetbase package. If you want the designtime components on the component palette you must alse "Use/Install" the lnetvisual package. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- engine32 · 2017-01-29 04:38 I have same problem after one year 1.6 was released. How you "install from trunk" ? Where I can find trunk 2661 ? It is so frustrating.. I tried everything, including uninstalling Lazarus and cleaning everything about it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- balazsszekely · 2017-01-29 07:46 @engine32 QuoteI have same problem after one year 1.6 was released. I went here https://sourcefor ge.net/projects/lazarusonlinepackagemanager/files/Packages/ but no lnet.     So far I get that: - lnet 2661 from trunk works - lnet 2702 from trunk works - lnet from OnlinepackageManager works.     However, I don't know how to get one of these. From trunk I click on the package and it just expands the directory tree or I can only save files one by one. And no 2661, 2702. Do I need a software to download from trunk ? Credentials ? Could someone place this package somewhere so it can be downloaded like any other file with a single click ?     I had it working before with Lazarus 1.2 I think. Upgraded to 1.6 and as one would expect life to be easier, I get the opposite. Probably this is the price working with free software. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- balazsszekely · 2017-01-29 16:11 QuoteHowever, I don't know how to get one of these. QuoteCould someone place this package somewhere so it can be downloaded like any other file with a single click ?Please do the following: 1. Download Online Package Manager from here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9Me_c5onmWoTTl2Y0dETDYwaTQ 2. Unzip the archive to the $(LazarusDir)\components folder or wherever you like 3. Open package onlinepackagemanager.lpk, Compile, Build then install 4. After rebuild, go to Lazarus menu-->Package-->Online Package Manager, you can install with a single click 60 or so packages, most of them are the latest version. LNet is also there, I just tested under windows with Lazarus 1.6, it works well. I don't know about other platform, but I can check it later. PS: If you are only intersted in lnet, here is the link to zip: https: //drive.google.com/file/d/0B9Me_c5onmWoMVN5aWhER1VMam8/view?usp=sharin g PS1: lnet also works under linux(Lazarus trunk/FPC 3.0.0), I don't have Lazarus 1.6 to test but it should work. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- engine32 · 2017-01-30 05:34 OK, thank you so much, I managed to install it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- colwheel · 2017-02-20 12:12 Hello GetMem, also a big thanks from me Michael
