Fpcef red borders in the browser [solved and new version of CEF working now!] lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Luciano Andress Martini · 2015-12-16 15:39 I am dealing with a issue in fpcef chromium component at lazarus. The browser is working fine but every combobox are appearing with a red and large border, there is some red default config that i can try to change in lazarus? This still ocurs in other machines that i try to run the little browser. I am sending a image demontrating the problem: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Luciano Andress Martini · 2015-12-17 00:55 I solved it! All need is to upgrade my fpcef to the lastest version 2454, but i need to do some correction because this version is not working, but showing a lot of assembly errors including when you try to compile the examples. So i need to do little adjusts in the application!  First: Adjust giving the full path to Resources of CEF3 application: Here is the original broken code for CEF2454: QuoteCefResourcesDirPath:='Resources'; CefLocalesDirPath:='Resources\locales'; CefInitDefault; The working code for CEF2454 includes the full path to the CEF Resource files. Quotemyworkdir := GetCurrentDir; CefResourcesDirPath:=concat(myworkdir, '\Resources'); CefLocalesDirPath:=concat(myworkdir, '\Resources\locales'); CefInitDefault; Second: Move the file icudtl.dat from \Resources to the program directory. WRONG PLACE: Quotec:\myapp\Resources\icudtl.datRIGHT PLACE:  Quotec:\myapp\icudtl.datThe another files may stay where they are. Third: If you still have an app working with the older cef version, you may need to re-create or correct your application form removing some incompatibles functions that is not present in the new version, lazarus can do that automatically when it is open it will show something about taborder not supported... if you are in doubt about it start to write a new project! 4º  Put your app folder in the Operating System root without spaces , or something like c:\myapp, cause i am having erros when try to compile it into Documents folder, but don't worry it install fine in Program Files if you create a setup for it. 5º Finally Dont run the app using the option "execute" in Lazarus, just compile it and run by clicking in the generated .EXE file.  And that is it! You will be happy with your brand new powerful and stable browser! Obvious you need to download CEF3 version  2454 binaries to get that working, and upgrade your fpcef to the lastest (2454 version). I hope i can help more people!
