Linux, httpserver application, usethreads not added to project source lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Collier · 2015-10-19 10:42 I created  new httpserver application on linux (ubuntu, lazarus 1.4.4 , fpc 2.6.4) and needed to add this code by hand   {$IFDEF UNIX}     //{$IFDEF UseCThreads}       cthreads,     //{$ENDIF}   {$ENDIF} Should/could this be done automatically? Also, when I ran the application I received this message "The file "pthread_create.c" was not found.  Do you want to locate it yourself?" So I commented out: //Application.Threaded:=True; ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2015-10-19 11:26 Quote from: Michael Collier on October 19, 2015, 12:42:22 pmShould/could this be done automatically? No, instead one should define UseCThreads (in Other node of compiler options) when multithreading is about to be used in *nix environment. You don't need it for single threaded application, which is why by default it's not there. So I commented out: //Application.Threaded:=True; That's probably the debugger looking for source code of about to be called functions, normally you can just ignore the message and continue debugging. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Collier · 2015-10-19 11:38 I see, thank you
