Status for SSH in FreePascal (libSSH2 bindings in particular)? lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- saml · 2015-09-07 11:18 Howdy Pascal folks! I'm looking into building a cross-platform client to our high performance computing cluster (linux), and thus would need a solid SSH library to use. I have tried to read up on the wiki and forums a bit, and what I find is that the libSSH2 library seems like the most promising, as it allows OpenSSH format private keys (which I think some of our users would appreciate). But the wiki says the FPC bindings are still being developed. That wiki page isn't updated in more than a year though, so I'm wondering: 1. Anyone knows the current status of the libSSH2 FPC bindings? 2. Is there any other (cross-platform) solution that is more suitable to use? 3. Do you know of any existing similar open-source FPC project, or at least one that that uses SSH ... that I could use as an example? (including link to the sources, thanks, if so ). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- saml · 2015-09-07 14:31 Ok, I've managed to find two resources now, by googling a bit deeper, that contains a bit of code examples, so I post them here for cross- reference: A small test program establishing a terminal connection using libssh2An object oriented synapse based SSH client (for Delphi 7)Still interested in any news regarding libSSH2 or general SSH status in FPC. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- snorkel · 2015-12-22 22:56 Take a look at securebridge from devart.com Best SSH library for Lazarus, has tunnel, server and client support as well as SFTP client and server.
