Wrong connection state with INet 0.6.5

Good afternoon community,
I installed Inet 0.6.5  in Lazarus 1.2.2
Everything seems to be fine and I can at least connect to the target
system.
The issue is the result of the Connect - function. It always returns
"TRUE" after connect, even the counterpart is NOT available.
I need a reliable information connect was successful or not.

procedure TMainForm.BtConnectClick(Sender: TObject);

   procedure SetElements(State: Boolean; Btn: String);
   begin
     Connected             := State;
     LedConnected.LedValue := State;
     BtConnect.Caption     := Btn;
   end;

   begin
   if Connected
   then begin
          LTCP.Disconnect(FALSE);
          SetElements(FALSE, 'Connect');
        end
   else begin
          if LTCP.Connect(EdIP.Text, StrToInt(EdPort.Text)) then
            SetElements (TRUE, 'Disconnect');
        end;
end;            

I also tried the function LTCP.Connected  to get connection state.
This function results always "FALSE" in my environment.

Any idea or help will be appreciated.
