Targeted Browser In Gecko lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rehanullahafridi · 2015-06-27 16:29 Hi All. I am new to the Lazarus World  and feeling good that I am at last here. I have a simple project(I think so). I want to make a browser in Gecko and xulRunner. The browser will just be able to view YouTube and will use two mozilla's addons. First is ABP(Adblock Plus) and will use a proxy addon(may be ZenMate). The target is to make a youtube viewer for schools, workplaces or areas where youtube is blocked. I have made the browser and now just wondering how to add the add-ons which I have downloaded in .XPI format?? As mozilla firefox is based on gecko and xulRunner So there must be possibility to do so. Any comments how to do this! OR If you know another component or webkit else than gecko which can embed proxy at least to conceal the IP I would appreciate its mentioning. My target Platform is MS Windows and if possible also Android. At last if my question doesn't fit to this forum I apologize for that as I have stated I am new here. Thanks to all of you and I would list you in my memory as My Teacher Of LAZARUS. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- taazz · 2015-06-27 17:01 Quote from: rehanullahafridi on June 27, 2015, 06:29:30 pmHi All. Erm you do know that if youtube is blocked that means that any request from any application to youtube domain will be simple ignored by the router (or the router it self will return a 403 or a 404 result ) right? I think that's the reason why he wanted to include a proxy addon, to bypass router-blocks. Maybe with a free, external proxy. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rehanullahafridi · 2015-06-30 10:58 @jc99 Yeah This is what I mean. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- jc99 · 2015-07-02 22:54 Well then to the next point. taazz is right Quote from: taazz on June 27, 2015, 07:01:43 pmwell before going any farther try the existing application that it can truly see youtube videos my bet is it can't. This should be the next thing, on your ToDo-list, since it's an essential feature of your app. By the way, how far are you, make some example, post some code.
