p2js - another pascal to javascript compiler lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- bee · 2015-06-06 16:37 Hi, Take a look at this product: http://p2js.gelicon.biz/en It's build upon FPC source and has GPL license. It looks interesting. It works only for Windows though. Perhaps we can use this to boost FPC's pas2js tool? Regards, -Bee ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BeniBela · 2015-06-09 12:32 Awesome, just what I need. But how do you use it? If I call it with (from WINE) Code: [Select]p2js  -Ga -Gm -vK -vO -vm -vp -vg -Fubin_stub/fprtl/rtl test.pas It generates a JavaScript file. Now how do you start that file? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Cyrax · 2015-06-09 15:09 You need to run it in a web browser. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BeniBela · 2015-06-09 16:23 Brilliant! Who  would have guessed ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tatamata · 2019-03-22 15:50 Sorry for reopening this topic, but is there anybody to share personal experience with this P2JS compiler? Does it work? In what extent? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- bee · 2019-03-23 01:39 Quote from: tatamata on March 22, 2019, 04:50:11 pmSorry for reopening this topic, but is there anybody to share personal experience with this P2JS compiler? Does it work? In what extent? FPC already has its own pas2js compiler that is being actively developed by some of FPC's core devs. You may use it with Lazarus as well. It even has its own mailing list. In fact, FPC's pas2js is the backend for TMS' WebCore component. Read the announcement here. I've been playing around with pas2js. I did nothing big nor serious with it, but I think all is well.
