Synapse Sendmail with GMAIL Error Suspicious Signin Detected lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Josh · 2015-06-04 17:20 Hi I have created a little application that send an email to my email address, that uses gmail as the SMTP sending server only. This utility works well for me, but when the utility is used in a different country, the email is not send and gmail inbox has message Someone recently used your password to try to sign in to your Google Account xxxx.com. This person was using an application such as an email, client or mobile device. We prevented the sign-in attempt in case this was a hijacker trying to access your account. Please review the details of the sign-in attempt: I have enabled the option in gmail to Nevr show an alert ( which took 7 days to activate) thinking this may help but to no avail. Does anyone know a way to configure gmail to allow any connection from anywhere, or another way of doing what I require. 1) a means of sending a mail direct to my email, without going through 3rd party email server. 2) a means of maybe using my website sendmail routine for sending an email. Any other ideas or solution. It appears to be a geographic issue, if I use app on another PC with different Internet Access/Provider it still works fine, but if someone else tries in a different country, the error occours. Cheers ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Nicola Gorlandi · 2015-06-11 11:33 I solve this issue by opening Chrome, login with the email address, typing on address bar https://www.google.com/settings/security and then selecting Access for less secure apps Hope it helps..
