Using Gecko - Loading a local file or memorystream lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LittleBritaly · 2014-12-29 11:02 Sick of the bloat that comes with my normal email client (I use postbox) and more importantly the number of times it freezes I went looking for another client.  I have tried all of the clients out there and none give me quite what I need, I therefore decided to write my own. I have it working quite well, it is very quick and reliable,  but I have come across a problem I can't figure out,I hope someone can advise. I use THTmlviewer to display html emails, but it doesn't display very well, I'd like to use Gecko but can't figure out how to load a local file, or better still a memorystream. LoadURI doesn't allow me to do this, can anyone advise of a way around this ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- polpero · 2014-12-29 15:06 Try GeckoBrowser1.LoadURI('file:///C:/Users/fileName.htm') ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LittleBritaly · 2014-12-30 06:37 Thank you so much  for your reply, I had tried that and failed, I must have made a typo as your solution works. That gives me a workaround solution, ideally though I would like to display the html from the email directly into the browser. I pull the html content from the email and store it in a variable (using synapse), at the moment I then load it into THTMLViewer. Here is the code I use :- HTMLViewer.LoadFromString (FullHTMLMessage, '');  Does anyone know of a way to do this using gecko ?
