http server demo synapse compiled (synautil issue kind of solved) lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Turbonobo · 2014-10-03 08:18 Hi, Recently I converted the synapse http server demo from delphi to a lazarus project. It didn't compile... gave errors about TTimeZoneInformation and other Identifiers that where not found just like in this post about the https demo: http://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php?topic=23614.0 I kind of solved it... but I had to add "Windows" to the uses statement of the synautil.pas file: (file is part of the synapse library) Code: [Select]uses {$IFDEF MSWINDOWS}   LCLIntf, LCLType, LMessages, Windows, {$ELSE}   {$IFDEF FPC} ...hmm... to bad it also depends on LCL But why was the windows unit not included by default? Does it work (without my fix) on other projects that are not converted from delphi projects? I dont see how it could work, even with delphi? I have the feeling I am missing something here... Anyway, if you encounter this problem, the "solution" is quite simple. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Turbonobo · 2014-10-03 08:39 I noticed that in the 'trunk' version the 'uses' part has changed a lot and includes windows now and has removed the LCL dependencies.   Great! I was using Synapse 40 (latest release version) Is the trunk version already stable enough for 'everyday use' ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2014-10-03 08:43 Though I only occasionally use synapse, I've been tracking trunk for > 1 year and it seems to get only fixes. Stability is good. It's e.g. used in my fpctwit library (see signature).
