SHA256 lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- new2linux · 2014-08-13 11:52 I searched the web and this forum for an implementation of SHA256, for accessing DynamoDB. I thought perhaps someone might know/have one, or maybe point me to an alternate accessible implementation in some other language. Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- taazz · 2014-08-13 12:41 http://www.cityinthesky.co.uk/opensource/dcpcrypt/ http://bouchez.info/delphi-crypto.html synCrypto.pas from mormot framework and there are more but those should be enough for now. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- wp · 2014-08-13 12:42 dcpcrypt (http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/DCPcrypt) According to this reference the package can be downloaded from http://sourceforge.net/projects/lazarus-ccr/files/DCPcrypt/, but I wonder why it does not show up in the standard ccr svn folder (http://sourceforge.net/p/lazarus-ccr/svn/HEAD/tree/). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- jdlinke · 2014-08-14 03:48 DCPCrypt is super easy. I'm attaching a DataModule I use for hashing (SHA256) a file or string, encrypting (Twofish) a file or string, or creating a salt value for more secure hashing. Should be drop-in with stable FPC/Lazarus/DCPCrypt. Feel free to use/modify as needed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- marcov · 2014-08-14 04:40 Another option iirc is via the openssl libs/headers. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Graeme · 2014-08-14 13:03 Quote from: wp on August 13, 2014, 02:42:08 pmdcpcrypt (http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/DCPcrypt) ...snip... , but I wonder why it does not show up in the standard ccr svn folder. If you read the wiki page more closely you would have seen why. The DCPcrypt code is hosted in the Lazarus CCR's Git repository. You can get the code by doing this: Code: [Select]git clone git://lazarus- ccr.git.sourceforge.net/gitroot/lazarus-ccr/dcpcrypt ---------------------------------------------------------------------- wp · 2014-08-14 13:43 Thanks for clarifying. I did not know of the git branch. Maybe because the "official" link to ccr that I have (http://wiki.freepascal.org/Using_the_Lazarus-ccr_SVN_repository) points to svn only. A bit confusing... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Graeme · 2014-08-14 22:29 I've updated that wiki page and added Git information too. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- wp · 2014-08-14 23:01 Thanks
