Then I put a query at my url like this:  sourcefile :=UTF8Encode('http://www.address.com/mymapp/myfile.txt?');//? pick the current file but delete first line! This pick the current file (the one I want) on my server but, it also delete the first line in my textfile when picking or saving it on my harddisk! Why does the ? delete the first line in my current urldownloaded file? Does someone know this problem? Grateful for answers. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Robert W.B. · 2014-03-22 16:12 Even if You can have in Lazarus filenames like myfile.eastwood  or myfile.bush, You can't have a file with more than 3 charachters in it's aftername, for the server to read it. *.text the server will not respond Solution *.txt or in my case *.jkj Have a nice day.
