Failed to install LNET on Raspberry Pi lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Bob1960evens · 2014-01-03 15:26 I have tried to install LNET on my Raspberry Pi, as I need a non- blocking TCP server port. I downloaded the installation, and unzipped it to the lazarus/0.9.30.4/components directory. I then opened the Package/Open package file (.lpk) menu option, navigated to lazaruspackage/lnetvisual.lpk and selected Yes when it asked about rebuilding. It failed with a Can't create assembler file: /usr/lib/lazarus/0.9.30.4/components/lnet/lazaruspackage/lib/arm- linux/lcommon.s I then selected "compile" on the packages dialog, which took forever, and then install, and the component palette included the lNet components. I placed a TLtcpComponent on a form, hit compile, and it failed again, with almost the same message. (the file was lclnet.s). Is there something else I should be doing to prevent these errors? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2014-01-04 13:03 No idea really except: 1. Lazarus 0.9.30 is very old. Maybe upgrading helps (if that's easily possible) 2. Have you installed the required dependcies (build-essential, assembler etc that Lazarus/FPC needs?) 3. Have you searched this forum and the lnet wiki page for similar issues and solutions on raspberry pi?
