generating cert-key pair for LNet SSL component

I'm having problem with this, key pair from example works ok but I
can't generate new working pair. I used this sample code form OpenSSL
page:
openssl req -out CSR.csr -new -newkey rsa:2048 -nodes -keyout
privateKey.key

but then I get  'Error creating SSL CTX: SSLCTXLoadVerifyLocations' on
test program launch. What are proper steps for lNet compatible
certificate?
