Delphi Internet Component Suite and Lazarus FPC? anyone get it to compile? lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- snorkel · 2013-06-15 15:43 I have a delphi service app that uses the ISC ftp server component and I don't want to use Delphi anymore and I am planning on trying to get ICS to compile with Lazarus on win32. Just wondering if anyone has it working with Laz and FPC? I did find this, but it's kind of old: http://www.stack.nl/~marcov/ics.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- marcov · 2013-06-15 19:08 Quote from: snorkel on June 15, 2013, 05:43:47 pm I did find this, but it's kind of old: Support was mostly merged back, newer releases (v5 or v6) worked out of the box mostly. I stopped using ICS because there was no SSL support for a long time. I've heard that the newest series lacks support for FPC defines, and goes back to hardcoding delphi version IFDEFs again. That makes porting, while conceptually simple, a lot of work. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- snorkel · 2013-06-17 14:44 I usually use Synapse, but I have one project that uses the ICS FTP server library and it's pretty stable and easy to work with. Is there another FTP server lib that I don't know about that I could use instead of the ICS one? I know about the Indy one, but it's not very good at least from the last time I looked at it. I wish the third party devs like ICS start supporting FPC more. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- marcov · 2013-06-17 16:22 Quote from: snorkel on June 17, 2013, 04:44:49 pmI usually use Synapse, but I have one project that uses the ICS FTP server library and it's pretty stable and easy to work with. I never have used synapse, to me, it seemed too linux centric at the time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- garlar27 · 2013-06-17 18:23 There is lNet component but its been a long time (2008/12) since the last time I tryed to use it. you can check if it works for you.-
