INDY 10.2.0.3 lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- josefkoller · 2013-05-11 21:08 Hi, I have installed INDY 10.2.0.3. It was not easy, but now I have the components in my palette. But If I give a component to the form I got the error: unit1.pas(9,3) Fatal: Can not find unit IdMessage used by Unit1. Where can I set the path to the component for example "IdMessage". the IdMessage.pas is in C:\lazarus_1-0-8\components\INDY-10.2.0.3\lazarus. Thanks Josef ---------------------------------------------------------------------- exdatis · 2013-05-12 06:51 Project->Project options->Paths Regards ---------------------------------------------------------------------- josefkoller · 2013-05-12 07:46 Thanks. Is there no way to set a "generell" path to the INDY *.pas directory? Josef ---------------------------------------------------------------------- exdatis · 2013-05-12 08:10 I'm not sure, but this should be resolved during the installation. Try -> rebuild Regards p.s. I use CodeTyphon, bigide, and Indy is a part of standard installation. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- taazz · 2013-05-12 08:11 there are a couple of solutions 1) add all source files to the package you install in the IDE. that way the files needed will be found. I haven't done that so I do not know what problems might rise. 2) add the path for the source files to the package path used by the application. That means you add the source directory to the "package options\Usage\Unit" edit box. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JD · 2013-05-12 16:18 Indy 10.2.0.3 is a very old version. I believe you should use a more recent version. The most recent version is Indy 10.6 series. You'll find it at http://indy.fulgan.com/ZIP/. Then follow the instructions here http://wiki.freepascal.org/Indy_with_Lazarus to install it. JD
