Alternative to LNet tool lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Awesome Programmer · 2013-05-09 14:54 Are there any alternative to LNet Tool for Lazarus? I am running into problem. Even though LNET is installed on the Lazarus 1.0.8, everytime I compile my program IDE is complaining that lwebserver and other files have problems. I am kind of lost as to what to do. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- exdatis · 2013-05-09 15:00 Synapse, excellent lib: http://synapse.ararat.cz/doku.php and of course Indy: http://indy.fulgan.com/ZIP/ Regards ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Dibo · 2013-05-09 15:05 I agree with exdatis that synapse is excellent. What kind of sockets do you need? If http client maybe it will be enough for you to use fphttpclient from weblaz package. It probably isn't installed by default so add this package from Package->Configure installed packages -> Find weblaz ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JD · 2013-05-09 15:56 Quote from: exdatis on May 09, 2013, 05:00:14 pmand of course Indy: http://www.indyproject.org/Sockets/fpc/index.en.aspx Regards The link you supplied to Indy is for the old Lazarus Indy 10.2 version. Please change the Indy link to the following http://indy.fulgan.com/ZIP/ This link takes you to the latest version which at the moment is Indy 10.6. Then go to the Lazarus Wiki http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Indy_with_Lazarus to learn how to install it. Quote13th of March 2011: A new version of lNet was just released. 0.6.5 completes SSL and IPv6 support including server-side and per-socket (for SSL) setting. SSL and IPv6 bugs were fixed as well as some remaining disconnect problems related to server bind errors and lingering sockets. DecodeURL bug introduced in 0.6.4 was also fixed.
