WinCE OpenSSL problem or not? lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- evigis · 2013-04-08 14:57 Hello all! My search results for: OpenSSL WinCE did not yield any positive result, So i'm writing a new topic. Versions: lNet version 0.6.5 OpenSSL version 003.004.001 Lazarus version 1.1. (i use CodeTyphon ver 2.70) Compile program on Win32 and WinCE for arm are success. When I try to access the virtual host on Windows is 'SSL active OK' (test answer message. Look a code). When I try to access the virtual host on Mobile Device i can not access. Answer test message 'SSL active BAD' (look code) Why? May i lost something? Dll's libeay32 and ssleay32 (both compile version 0.9.8e, download source http://sourceforge.net/projects/p- tools/files/OpenSSL%20for%20Windows%20CE/) are upload to the device in project dir. Code example: Code: [Select]uses   ..., lNet, lNetComponents, lNetSSL, OpenSSL, ...; ... function TDM.ConnectToServer: boolean; var   _FLtcp: TLTCPComponent;   _FLSSL: TLSSLSession; begin   Result := false;   _FLtcp := TLTCPComponent.Create(nil);   try     _FLSSL := TLSSLSession.Create(nil);     try       if FSettings.UseSSL then       begin         _FLSSL.Method := msSSLv2or3;         _FLSSL.KeyFile := FProgramPath + 'cert.key';         _FLSSL.CAFile := FProgramPath + 'cert.crt';         _FLtcp.Session := _FLSSL;         _FLSSL.SSLActive := true;         if _FLSSL.Active then           LogToFile('SSL active OK')         else           LogToFile('SSL active BAD');       end;   ...   ...   ... end; Can anyone help solve this problem? Sincerely, Pavel ---------------------------------------------------------------------- felipemdc · 2013-04-08 18:58 I can only say that unfortunately I have the same problem =/ It also doesn't work for me. I did not compile those DLLs myself, I took them from somewhere (OpenSSL website maybe? don't remember anymore) Searching (or compiling yourself) a new set of DLLs for WinCE would be a good idea. Those seam to be broken. Either that or LNet has a bug or maybe they need somehow to be configured to know where to search for the certificates... SSL and those certificates are always a huge pain... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- bambamns · 2013-04-08 19:58 Evigis Do you really need to use SSL ? I use LNET on WinCE without SSL and it works just fine. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- felipemdc · 2013-04-08 20:48 In my case it would be really good to have SSL, because it is for e-mail sending, and most servers don't support access without SSL. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- evigis · 2013-04-09 06:55 Quote from: bambamns on April 08, 2013, 09:58:57 pmEvigis Do you really need to use SSL ? How to resolve the issue, if you want to make the limitations on access to the server for users who use dynamic IP? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- evigis · 2013-04-09 07:13 felipemdc thanks for answer. I search something about compiling and find something: http://www.linuxhorizon.com/5-openssl/fc46f21eeae61d65.htm Last chance, to try compile myself :/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- evigis · 2013-04-23 07:31 Somehow i got compiled openssl dll's for ARM platform. For me now SSL works perfectly. I can't include files here, because zip file is to large than 250KB. Search words for search engine: SSL for WIN CE, SSL for WIN Mobile, SLL for ARM platform, OpenSSL ARM. Linker version 6.24 Product version 1.0.0a Ask in private if you want OpenSSL dll's for ARM platform. Topic Solved. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Madushan · 2015-04-23 13:43 Hi, Could you please tell me whether Openssl for windows compact framework supports latest SSL protocols. (TLS 1.1 and 1.2) Thanks, -Madushan-
