How to install brook? lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Collier · 2013-03-01 02:57 Hi, I just spotted the brook framework and tried to install as per here: http://brookframework.org/get-started.html I opened the package brookex.lpk and tried to compile/install and get this error: brook\brokers\brookfclcgibroker.pas(57,15) Error: There is no method in an ancestor class to be overridden: "TBrookCGIRequest.DeleteTempUploadedFiles;" I'm using lazarus 1.0.4 fpc 2.6.0 Windows XP, Thanks in advance ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2013-03-01 03:24 Read system requirements part in the readme, Brook requires FPC 2.6.1 or newer ---------------------------------------------------------------------- miquelmatas · 2013-03-01 09:03 I couldn't compile it with fpc 2.6.2 neither.... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2013-03-01 14:15 QuoteI couldn't compile it with fpc 2.6.2 neither....   Probably it needs to be made clearer. I don't know which 2.6.1 revision that works, probably at that time 2.6.2 was already tagged, so fixes and additions to 2.6.1 don't get into 2.6.2. I suggest using trunk version, either 2.6.3 (since 2.6.2 is already out) or 2.7.1. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- miquelmatas · 2013-03-01 14:42 with 2.7.1, it compiles successfully. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Collier · 2013-03-02 03:40 Thanks for letting me know, I was trying 2.6.2 but also failed, will go for 2.7.1 when I get a chance ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2013-03-02 04:27 You could also try the fixes_2.6 branch (the old 2.6.1) http://svn.freepascal.org/svn/fpc/branches/fixes_2_6 I suppose the daily Lazarus snapshots that mention 2.6.1 are built with this. This contains fixes/updates over stable 2.6.2 while 2.7.1 http://svn.freepascal.org/svn/fpc/trunk/ is the bleeding edge development version (that's improved a lot though, it seems fairly stable).
