[SOLVED] [Brook] Problem with httpclient.HttpRequest and possible solution lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2013-02-21 09:21 Hi all, FYI, in a project of mine I use Brook's httpclient to get json data from a cgi server. The trouble is, in this code: Code: [Select]var   RequestResult: THTTPResult;   VData: TJSONArray; begin   VData:=TJSONArray.Create; //needs to be assigned for HTTPRequest   try     ClearGrid(DocumentsGrid);     RequestResult:=HttpRequest(FCGIURL+'list',VData,rmGet); FPC 2.7.1 always seems to resolve HttpRequest to the 2nd function in httpclient (the one where you put json data in the request), while I just wanted a simple get without any data. I don't know if I should somehow cast the parameters so FPC picks it up, but a solution was to rename the second function to HttpRequestWithData See commit https://bitbucket.org/reiniero/papertiger/commits/a4739fa3f63c726b16f1 ab5f30e8e01a883ac2aa Comments welcome. Thanks, BigChimp ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Silvio Clécio · 2013-02-21 14:35 Hello Reiniero and buddies, Yesterday I commited some improvements in Brook: . BrookHttpClient; . New Http functions; . Improvement in REST demo etc.; Log: https://github.com/silvioprog/brookframework/commits/working Please download Brook via GIT and test the new features. HttpClient.pas was replaced by the new BrookHTTPClient (with brokers for FCLWeb and Synapse ). In BrookHTTPUtils, now Brook also implements new functions to make quick requests as JSON support. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2013-02-22 05:11 Thanks, Silvio
