Indy Updating Textfile on HTTP Server lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Lazaruszki · 2012-08-30 13:36 Hi EB, I like to  use Indy components to update a  txt. file on the internet. I will have a text file placed on HTTP Server  I would like my application to logon, check for existence of file and if its there, append some data to it. All the data will be in Comma delimited text (one string). What's the way? Is there any component of indy that can do it? http.post ? if you have sample code link ,please, Thx. before... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- teos · 2012-08-30 14:25 First question: is the server only accessible through HTTP or also with FTP (because you mention logon). If possible use idFTPClient, access the server through FTP. That way the client can check for the file and modify it. HTTP can send data to the server but AFAIK files are not accessible from HTTP. You would need a server side script for that (PHP?) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Lazaruszki · 2012-08-30 18:53 thx teos yes,   the server only accessible through HTTP, because ftp is disable on the workstation
