[SOLVED] Twitter application: 401 trying to get request token? lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2012-06-12 14:53 I'm building a Twitter/Oauth v1.0a library/demo application using Synapse, starting with OOB/PIN authentication. Unfortunately, I'm stuck on getting a request token from Twitter: it keeps returning a 401 error. I've verified the time is within 1 second of the server, that the base signature decodes correctly and I've generated consumer keys and secrets. If anybody has any hints on getting it to work, I'd be very grateful. Various versions of Lazarus, FPC 2.6.1 x86 on Windows using Synapse trunk (stable won't probably matter much). Attached code and demo applications (see fpctwit --help for help on where to store your consumer key and secret when testing). You'll have to add ssleay32.dll, libssl32.dll, libeay32.dll and zlib1.dll for Windows... and have the correct libraries installed for Linux. Thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2012-06-13 07:31 Thanks to ludob, the OOB/PIN authentication example app works. Now it's time to clean up the code before adding new functionality. It's open source; code can be found here: https://bitbucket.org/reiniero/fpctwit
