lnet telnet using SSH Session lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ysun80 · 2012-05-19 16:52 Is anyone using lent components? I am using the telnet via that example. Now I'd like to add TLSSHSession to the telnet component, I don't know how to set CAFile and KeyFile for the TLSSHSession, I need a help, or some samples so that I can use SSH instead of telnet. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2012-05-19 18:08 Why would you set up a CA file for an SSH session? AFAIK, it works with private/public keypairs, not with a certificate authority... I'm wondering if TLSSHSession supports SSH, not just SSL? (Have never worked with lnet components and SSH, so don't really know, just wanted to make sure you're on the right track). Otherwise, see e.g. the wiki page on Synapse for a SSH client using cryptlib/other crypto libraries, and I'm sure Indy also offers options to connect to SSH servers... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ysun80 · 2012-05-26 06:17 I am using synapse and cryptlib now. For Leonardo's example http://leonardorame.blogspot.com/2010/01/synapse-based-ssh-client.html ssh.LogIn is always return false and I can get ssh.ReceiveData: SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_5.8 What should I do? any suggestions? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2012-05-26 06:55 It's probably receiving the banner that you get before the login prompt and interpreting that as data. You might want to try the synapse ssh client sample with cryptlib on h ttp://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Synapse#SSH.2FTelnet_client_sample_p rogram (Note: that seems complicated, but that's because you have a choice of multiple encryption libraries) Are you trying to logon using username/password or using a private key? I don't think Leonardo's sample supports private key login; the sample on the wiki page can (I think you have to specify the file in cryptlib format though, which is not common). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- alxdm · 2012-05-30 08:12 You can use LibSSH2 plug-in (from wiki) and private key file in OpenSSH format.
