Indy TIdTCPClient I can use on windows but how on linux please?

Hi,

Could someone advise me on how to get TIdTCPClient  working on ubuntu
please?

It works ok on windows, but I'm more familiar with windows networking.

I have tried opening port 6000 using sudo ufw allow 6000 but not sure
if that is needed or not.

I can connect to the remote server ok, the server shows the
connections increasing in an event I put there.

The problem arrises when I try to use SendCmd or GetResponse, the
client just hangs...

Hopefully it's a configuration problem for ubuntu, but since the indy
components are under development I thought I'd better ask, probably
ubuntu config though.
