A FPC remoting framework? lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- qdos · 2011-10-20 00:53 Lately I have been given some legacy hardware (PPC mac g5 x 2 and PPC server G5 x 4) and I began playing with the idea of coding some networking services that could make these machines usefull again. Im looking for something along the lines of Remobjects on Delphi? Both my machines run OS X 10.4 so they are a couple of years behind the current trend - but they are quite fast and still modern enough to run a lot of software. So... is there a remoting framework for FPC? I tried googling it but found no FPC/Lazarus alternatives. It would really be cool if it was possible to use FPC/Laz to bring these 5/10 year old systems back to life. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- jwdietrich · 2011-11-06 13:14 Do you think of anything like grid computing? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2011-11-06 13:17 What remoting capabilities are you looking for? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- qdos · 2012-03-18 13:43 Think remobjects but for fpc, server functions, soap interfaces etc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ttomas · 2012-03-19 08:45 RemObjects can be used with free pascal.
