D2Bridge Framework for Lazarus Preview (available soon) lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vingadero · 2024-09-01 13:30 Hello all! I'm just sharing this very, very promising project. I'm not the developer. Soon we will have the launch of D2Docker, which is the automatic deployment tool directly from Lazarus to the Web and will be done in Lazarus. Thanks Talis ---------------------------------------------------------------------- egsuh · 2024-11-22 10:33 Just amazing. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- carl_caulkett · 2024-11-22 10:50 Quote from: talisjonatas on November 21, 2024, 07:21:14 pmHello I am very happy to say that D2Bridge Framework for Lazarus (Preview) is now available Video with English subtitles https://youtu.be/MV9gCSUo-zM We here at D2Bridge Framework have now adopted Lazarus as our standard IDE for developing D2Bridge tools. I notice on your website that macOS is not listed in the compatibility table. I notice on your website that macOS is not listed in the compatibility table. Is macOS support going to happen in the future? Hello Having support for MacOS is also very important, we will include support for it. Thank you ---------------------------------------------------------------------- egsuh · 2024-11-23 04:10 I've seen the video. I think it creates a webpage operating similar to Windows application (VCL or LCL, whatever). Am I correct? Of course I should try it to fully understand, but some questions come up in my mind which want short and quick answers. - Can I turn an existing Lazarus project to web, and use both of them? (well, Laz app is expected easier to maintain). - Does it support Drag & Drop of TTreeView? - What happens if I use RTTI controls? - How to configure servers? Should there be another layer between webserver (nginx, or IIS, etc.)? No.. it seems it runs as if a HTTP server. Am I right? If then, does it mean that the Windows application (which should run on client PC) runs on a Server in this framework, and webbrowsers connect to that? Sorry... I should see the video again. But if these questions do not bother you too much, please help me to grasp the big picture first. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- egsuh · 2024-12-10 03:48 I've not been successful in installing this, but now I have a question. If this operates as what I think, i.e. running as a standalone program at server side, how can this run multiple instances? I don't think it's possible. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- talisjonatas · 2025-01-16 19:16 D2Bridge Framework for Lazarus is Updated https://youtu.be/sppOoxpoaec ---------------------------------------------------------------------- egsuh · 2025-01-20 03:54 Hi, I re-installed new version, and can not run a demo project from you. But there does not appear "D2Bridge Lazarus Web Application" from New > Project menu. Please let me know if I need to do something else. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- egsuh · 2025-01-20 04:00 Does it need indyLaz? Even on Lazarus with IndyLaz installed, I cannot see D2Bridge Lazarus Web Application from "New Project" menu (nor "New > Proect"). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- nummer8 · 2025-01-20 08:53 Download the framework https://d2bridge.com.br/#cta-download Download the official version of lazarus https://www.lazarus-ide.org/index.php?page=downloads Install lazarus. start lazarus and install indy10 from OPM. extract the framework. goto the directory wizzard and start InstallD2BridgeWizzard.exe With the options button add the path where you installed the official version of Lazarus. mark checkbox for lazarus and save. (In my case the program complaint that indy 10 was not installed. It was installed) The wizzard adds the d2bridgeframework to the lazarus install list. If there was a problem with the wizzard you can open the packege in the directory Wizzard\LPK\x.x\ where x.x the right lazarus version is. Open the package Check the options of that package set IDE-integration update/Rebuild to manual compilation (never rebuild) Install the package. It will complain that several pas files are not available. Ignore this and rebuild lazarus. The demos and the new project wizzard will function properly. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JanRoza · 2025-01-20 16:23 Following your description install of d2Bridge ends in an error when trying to indicate the Lazarus install folder (see attached screenshot). I'm using Lazarus 4.0 RC1 on Windows 11. Where am I going wrong? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- nummer8 · 2025-01-20 17:13 So ignore the error. I do not know what is wrong. There is no code of the wizzard available. Open the right package in Wizzard\LPK\x.x and install the package as described ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Thaddy · 2025-01-20 18:42 Quote from: nummer8 on January 20, 2025, 06:13:19 pmSo ignore the error. Of course not, it is an access violation.. Bloody hell. Probably  amateur nummer8. (Focus on number9) And yes it is repeatable in trunk too. Your reaction, not the writers of the code: they need to fix it. So that should be solved, otherwise it is a nice framework. An access violation in a framework can be compared to the internal errors the compiler throws at unwanted times. Where it is anticipated and can be handled. The authors of D2Bridge should simply fix the possibility of an access violation. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- nummer8 · 2025-01-20 19:20 OMG Thaddy, new medication? There is no answer from you the last few days without an insult. Go for it. As stated the framework installation is at the moment only possible with official installations. NOT WITH TRUNK VERSIONS. The access violation mentioned is in the wizzard, not in the framework. The wizzard prepares for installation of the package file. But you clearly had figured that out! The only part of your comment I agree is: Any access violation within the framework must be taken care of! So if you have no real contribution to make please refrain from answering. Or in proper dutch: Zoek een goede psychiater en krijg hulp bij je problemen. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- egsuh · 2025-01-21 01:37 @nummer8 Really thank you for your kind explanations. It runs now. I didn't know about the details of manually compiling, and ignoring missing files of package. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Thaddy · 2025-01-21 05:39 Quote from: nummer8 on January 20, 2025, 08:20:59 pmAs stated the framework installation is at the moment only possible with official installations. NOT WITH TRUNK VERSIONS. Well, there you have it. There is little or none in (fpc) trunk that would cause an access violation that is not in 3.2.2 or fixes 3.2.3. (2.1 and 2.2 here: https://wiki.freepascal.org/User_Changes_Trunk ) I do not know, but it is possible that Lazarus trunk has breaking changes, but we discussed just fpc. So that is a none argument: it should be fixed. Should not happen. And Lazarus is 4.0 here, not 4.99 (which is Laz trunk). Change your wording. And first check. And address the correct version of the right product. You did not test. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- nummer8 · 2025-01-21 20:38 Thaddy, Excellent response for a bully. Always demand a moderate response from someone you are communicating with who gives you the same respect you gave him and no this has nothing to do with blunt honesty. If you had actually looked at all my responses in the thread you would have seen that I ONLY responded to installing the framework. JanRoza's screenshot also showed the Wizzard. My response to his question was also to install the framework. Out of all the possible responses you could have given, you chose to only be blunt and insulting. That says a lot about you. Especially pathetic that someone of your age (retired) and your level of education (uni) apparently functions at such a low level of social skills. Don't hide behind an entire population (Dutch) or culture (Dutch) because even by Dutch standards you have low developed social skills. That is something I cannot change. But I choose not to put myself in a position to entertain you anymore. In addition to your behavior, there is a run-time error (access violation), which I did not respond to, that has occurred is indeed a gross error that should be fixed by the creator of the framework.
