Mail with IMAP protocol

I am looking for a simple example which sends an email via my email
account using IMAP port 993. I only find (complex) examples using SMTP
port 25.

You can simply change the port in most examples and add the openssl
units.
Point me to such a *complex* example: don't believe it.

IMAP is only used to receive emails. The SMTP protocol is used for
sending, which by default runs on ports 587 (without encryption and
STARTTLS) and 465 (SSL).
