File server code demos (Synapse)? HTTP PUT, FTPS, SFTP? lazarus / 38-Networking and Web Programming ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ArminLinder ยท 2022-03-09 15:39 My next project needs to be able to receive(!) binary files using as many different protocols I can find support for. I started browsing the Synapse demos, Google, SO and the Lazarus forums, and found some fragments of simple FTP servers only. The receiver may be quite simple, usually there won't be more than one client sending a file of a couple of hundreds of KB in size every hour or so over a LAN, performance isn't an issue either. While there is plenty of matierial around for clients of all sorts, I found nothing abouzt programming servers. I also found dozens of people asking in this direction (mostly via the mailing lists), but I found no hhelpful answers. Can anyone help me getting started quicker by providing links to demos for the above protocols? Btw, the only real must is that I need to receive files via HTTP(S). For FTP(S) I could quite easily install some ready-made FTP server service, I need Linux and Windows and there should be plenty of packets available which satisfy my simple needs. I'd however prefer to do all of it in my own code if possible with reasonable efforts. Thnx, Armin.
