Button colours

I have just coloured some button backgrounds in linux. In both Windows
7 & 10, the colours are indicated correctly in the Inspector but
display as colourless -white(?) - on screen.

This seems to be a bug as far as Windows is concerned?

As far as I know button color is OS depended, you're not allowed
change it on Windows if you're using the default widgetset.

But you still can have non-standard colored button on Windows, read
