Can't find unit system used by program. [SOLVED] lazarus / 32-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Flamore · 2020-10-09 10:22 So, this problem pretty much persists since i first tried FreePascal on a linux distro (Linux Mint 20 Cinnamon FYI) I wrote a pretty basic "Hello World" program, and wasn't able to fix the problem that persists. I even double checked that the target OS is set to "Linux for x86-64", the IDE i use is the console one "fp" Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]window.onload = function(){var x1 = document.getElementById("main_content_section"); if (x1) { var x = document.getElementsByClassName("geshi");for (var i = 0; i program asdf;begin WriteLn("Hello, world!");end. What is that i'm doing wrong? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- wp · 2020-10-09 10:43 In Pascal there are no double quotes for strings, use single quotes only. But I doubt that this is the reason for the "System not found" error. Are you sure that your FPC is properly installed? Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]window.onload = function(){var x1 = document.getElementById("main_content_section"); if (x1) { var x = document.getElementsByClassName("geshi");for (var i = 0; i     program asdf;    begin     WriteLn('Hello, world!');   // <------ single quotes instead of double quotes    end. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Flamore · 2020-10-09 11:08 Quote from: wp on October 09, 2020, 12:43:07 pmIn Pascal there are no double quotes for strings, use single quotes only. I installed it using 'sudo apt install fpc lazarus' EDIT: I removed the packages and installed the ones from the homepage, now it works like a charm
